SALFIT, May 25, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces, attacked homes last night on the outskirts of the town of Bruqin, in the central West Bank province of Salfit, setting one house on fire and assaulting local residents.
Local sources told WAFA that the colonists targeted several homes and deliberately set fire to the home of Yafi Barakat, a local Palestinian citizen. As residents attempted to confront the attackers, Israeli forces opened fire with live ammunition and tear gas canisters, although no injuries were reported.
In a related development, Israeli infantry units raided the nearby villages of Yasuf and Iskaka, east of Salfit, breaking into residential neighborhoods. No detentions or injuries were reported as of the time of publication.
