UNRWA says only six out of its 22 health centers in Gaza are operating

NEW YORK, May 27, 2025 (WAFA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that only six of its 22 health centers are operating inside and outside shelters due to the ongoing bombardment in the Gaza Strip.

UNRWA added in a statement issued Tuesday that essential medical supplies are in critically short supply and that there is an urgent need for the unimpeded delivery of life-saving assistance.

Since March 2, the occupation has closed the Gaza Strip's crossings to the entry of food, relief, medical aid, and goods, causing a significant deterioration in the humanitarian situation.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 173,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
