Several civilians killed and others injured in Israeli airstrikes on different areas in Gaza

RAMALLAH, May 27, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli airstrikes continued to target different areas across the Gaza Strip overnight, resulting in multiple civilian casualties and widespread destruction.

According to local sources, one civilian was killed and several others were wounded following an Israeli strike on a home in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

Another strike on Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Strip, killing ob=ne person.

Medical officials confirmed that a man succumbed to injuries sustained during an earlier airstrike on Al-Amal neighborhood in western Khan Younis.

Additionally, Suleiman Wajeeh Qishta was pronounced dead after succumbing to wounds he had sustained days ago in a separate attack in the same city.

Eastern Gaza City witnessed a series of heavy bombardments by Israeli warplanes, while artillery shelling from Israeli ground forces also persisted in several areas.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) reported that only six of its 22 health centers in Gaza remain operational, amid ongoing hostilities.

The agency warned of a severe shortage of essential medical supplies and reiterated the urgent need for unimpeded humanitarian access.

Since the start of the Israeli military operation on October 7, 2023, the death toll in Gaza has risen to 53,977, the majority of whom are women and children. Another 122,966 individuals have been injured.
