JERUSALEM, May 27, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces on Tuesday morning demolished a car wash facility in the Qalandiya refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, under the pretext that it was built without a permit.
According to the Jerusalem Governorate, Israeli troops, accompanied by a bulldozer, raided the area near the main entrance of the camp at dawn and leveled the structure. The car wash was located directly across from the Qalandiya military checkpoint.
The demolished facility belonged to Palestinian resident Abdullah al-Joulani.
Demolitions of Palestinian-owned structures under the pretext of lacking Israeli-issued building permits are common in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
