SALFIT, June 8, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities on Sunday delivered eight demolition orders and notices ordering a halt to construction on homes and agricultural structures in the town of Bruqin west of Salfit, according to local officials.
Faeed Sabra, head of the Bruqin municipality, told WAFA that six inhabited homes, each consisting of two floors and comprising a total of 12 apartments, were among the structures targeted for demolition. In addition, two stop-construction notices were issued against agricultural barns.
Sabra noted that one of the homes slated for demolition is an old structure built several decades ago.
He added that Bruqin is facing an intensified colonial campaign led by the Israeli military, involving land confiscation, bulldozing, and a surge in demolition and stop-work orders targeting Palestinian homes.
Last month, Israeli authorities issued 48 demolition notices across the occupied West Bank, including 21 in Ramallah, 18 in Salfit, four in Tulkarem, three in Jerusalem, and one in Nablus.
