JENIN, June 26, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestine Red Crescent teams received a wounded Palestinian today at the Israeli military checkpoint in Barta’a, north of Jenin. The man had been previously shot by Israeli forces and later detained despite his injuries.
According to the Red Crescent, the 43-year-old man was immediately transferred to a hospital for medical treatment.
The man was originally injured by live fire in the foot on June 17 after being shot by Israeli forces near the separation wall in the village of Faqqu’a, north of Jenin.
The Civil Affairs Authority had earlier identified him as Issam Kamal Rabaia, a resident of the town of Meithalun, south of Jenin.
