CAPITALS, June 13, 2025 (WAFA) – Israel at dawn on Friday launched a large-scale attack on the Iranian capital, Tehran, as well as several other cities and areas, targeting nuclear and military sites along with high-ranking military commanders.

The so-called Israeli Ministry of “Defense” stated that it had launched a preemptive, precise, combined offensive based on high-quality intelligence to strike Iran's nuclear program.

Iranian state television reported that Israel struck sites in the city of Kermanshah, as well as nuclear facilities in Natanz in Isfahan Province, and additional targets in Tehran and Tabriz.

Iranian media outlets announced that Hossein Salami, commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), along with several nuclear experts and military leaders, were killed in the Israeli attack.

In response to the escalation, Iran, Israel, Iraq, and Jordan all announced the closure of their airspace until further notice.
