RIYADH, November 10, 2024 (WAFA) — President Mahmoud Abbas is scheduled to arrive in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday evening to participate in the upcoming Arab-Islamic Summit, following an invitation from Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The summit is set to address the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinians and other pressing regional issues, including the situation in Lebanon.

According to Palestinian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mazen Ghuneim, President Abbas will be joined by key Palestinian officials, including Hussein Sheikh, Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Mustafa, President Abbas's Diplomatic Advisor Majdi Khalidi, and Ambassador Ghuneim.

The extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit will focus on coordinating a unified stance in response to the ongoing Israeli violations and atrocities committed against the Palestinian people.

One of the primary objectives of the summit is to issue a firm and collective condemnation of Israeli actions, particularly the violations of Palestinian rights and the continued desecration of holy sites in occupied Jerusalem.
